昨秋にＳミドル級とクルーザー級の２階級で初開催した。
賞金総額５０００万ドル（約５６億５０００万円）で各階級に８選手が出場。
優勝賞金１０００万ドル（約１１億３０００万円）と「ムハマド・アリ・トロフィー」を懸けて熱戦が繰り広げられた。
今年はバンタム級、Ｓライト級などで行われる予定。
